Millions of people have died from the Corona virus and millions are on the verge of dying but there is still no medicine that is proven to help doctors cure the disease.

Are we afraid of the medicine that humansProtect from corona

What work is being done to find treatment?
More than 150 different medicines are being researched worldwide. Most are existing drugs that are being trialled against the virus.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has launched a Solidarity Test aimed at assessing the most promising treatments.
His recovery test is the world's largest in Germany and the UK, with more than a thousand patients already participating.
And many research centers around the world are trying to use leftover blood as a treatment.
What kind of medicines can work?
Three broad approaches are being investigated:

Antiviral drugs that directly affect the coronovirus's ability to thrive inside the body
Drugs that can calm the immune system - patients become seriously ill when their immune system runs out and causes collateral damage in the body
Antibodies, either from leftover blood or in a lab, that can attack the virus
What is the most promising coronavirus drug?
Initially, Remedisvir was seen as the only medicine that indicated any signs of effectiveness after the WHO mission to China. But since then the situation has become more confusing.

The antiviral drug was originally designed to treat Ebola, but other options proved to be more effective.

It has since been shown to be effective in the treatment of other malignant coronaviruses (Middle East respiratory syndrome and severe acute respiratory syndrome) in animal studies, leading to the expectation that it would also be effective against covid-19 coronoviruses.

Leaked results of tests led by the University of Chicago suggested the drug was effective, but erroneously published data from the first clinical trial showed that it did not work.

It is one of four drugs in the WHO Solidarity Trial and its manufacturer, Gilead, is also organized trials.

Can HIV Drugs Treat Coronovirus?
There has been much talk, but there is little evidence that a pair of HIV drugs - lopinavir and ronovir - will be effective in treating coronovirus.

There is some evidence they can work in the laboratory, but studies in people have been disappointing.

The combination did not improve, reducing death or lower levels of the virus in patients with severe corona virus.

However, as the test was performed with extremely ill patients (about a quarter of deaths), the infection may be too late for the drugs to work.

Can malaria drugs stop coronavirus?
Malaria drugs are part of both the Solidarity and Recovery Trial. Chloroquine and a related derivative, hydroxychloroquine, may have antiviral and immune-calming properties.

Drugs have been in the headlines as potential coronavirus therapies, largely due to claims made by President Trump, but there is still little evidence on their effectiveness.

Hydroxychloroquine is also used as a treatment for rheumatoid arthritis, as it may help regulate the immune system.

Laboratory tests have shown that it can inhibit the coronovirus, and there is some significant evidence from doctors that it helps patients.

What about immune drugs?
If the immune system overtakes the virus, it can cause inflammation throughout the body. It is helpful to rally the immune system to fight infection, but too much can cause collateral damage throughout the body and can be fatal.

Coronavirus: what it does to the body
Solidarity testing is investigating interferon beta, which is used to reduce multiple sclerosis, and inflammation. Interferons are a group of chemicals released by the body during an attack by a virus.

The UK's recovery trial is examining dexamethasone - a type of steroid used to reduce inflammation.

Can survivors treat coronovirus?
Those who survive the infection should have antibodies in their blood that can attack the virus.

Can we treat corona with plasma technology

The idea is that you take blood plasma (the part that contains antibodies) and give it to a sick patient as therapy.

The US has already treated thousands of patients, known as "convocation plasma", and other countries are also joining.

How long do we have treatment?
It is soon known that when we can have any medicine that can treat coronavirus.

However, we should start in the next few months to get the results of the tests. Compared to this much earlier, we will know if a vaccine (which prevents infection rather than cure) is effective.

This is because doctors are testing drugs that have already been developed and are safe enough to use, while vaccine researchers are starting from scratch.

Some completely new, experimental
